Divine Mercy Novena

The Sunday after Easter is Divine Mercy Sunday.   Beginning on Good Friday, we pray a Divine Mercy Chaplet each day for nine days, preferably around 3pm, which is the hour in which Jesus died.

Each day we pray for a different intention, joining Christians around the world in prayer, petitioning God the Father on behalf of His Son’s passion.

Saint Faustina Kowalska, a Polish nun, was asked by Jesus to have this picture painted.   Under her direction it was completed in 1934.  Jesus told her that He wanted this image blessed on the first Sunday after Easter, on the feast of Mercy.

Please join my family and I in praying this powerful prayer.
