Gluten-Free Tuesday: Singing the Praise of Cauliflower

I have found cauliflower to be a very versatile vegetable in adapting certain recipes into gluten-free versions, but gluten-free or not, these recipes are winners!  I’ve included some recipes I have tried, and others I look forward to trying soon.

cauliflower shepherd's pie You can find Oven Love’s version of Shepherd’s Pie here .  I adapted it a little to our taste and loved it!  We’ve also made side dishes of mashed cauliflower to replace mashed potatoes, just adding seasonings as desired.

You can find this recipe for tabbouleh at Hello Natural.  My changes included adding minced garlic and chopped peppers while omitting the mint.  We ate a lot of tabbouleh before and enjoy this version even more!

Even though chicken wings are gluten-free, sometimes we eat meatless too and this recipe for Cauliflower Buffalo Bites from the Lean Clean Eating Machine is delicious!  It just shows you the versatility of cauliflower.

crockpot cauliflower and cheese

Great side dish, or a replacement for Mac ‘N Cheese, this recipe for Cheesy Cauliflower is made in the crockpot – great for those cold winter nights.

I look forward to trying Bacon-Cheddar Cauliflower Chowder, Cauliflower Fritters, and simple Spicy Cauliflower Stir Fry.  And don’t forget how delicious cauliflower is steamed or raw.  Enjoy!

All of your photos look amazingly delicious 🙂 My mouth is watering 😛

    • As good as they taste…try them! Thanks

  2. I haven’t done those cauliflower fritters in a while, but I’l definitively follow your advice and work on Shepherd’s Pie with Cauliflower instead of mashed potatoes, or combined maybe =D

  3. You won’t regret it 🙂
