Christmas Baking 2015 – Gumdrop Cookies
Just thought I’d share our favourite Christmas recipes.
My husband makes this one and it is my absolute favourite…him making them just makes them sweeter 🙂 If you buy small baking gumdrops you won’t need to cut them up. Butter really adds a butterscotch flavour to these cookies.
GUM DROP COOKIES
- Butter, softened 1 cup
- Brown sugar, packed 1 cup
- Granulated sugar 1/4 cup
- Eggs 2
- Vanilla 1 tsp.
- All-purpose flour 1 1/2 cups
- Baking powder 1 tsp.
- Baking soda 1/2 tsp.
- Salt 1/2 tsp.
- Rolled Oats 1 cup
- Gumdrops, cut up 1 cup
Cream butter and both sugars together. Beat in eggs 1 at a time. Add vanilla. Stir.
Add the remaining ingredients. Mix well. Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake in 350 degree F (180 degree C) oven for 12 to 14 minutes. Makes 4 dozen.
