Trained by God Tuesday

as received by Deacon Stan Cor; shared with permission

“Keep this book of the law on your lips. Recite it by day and by night that you may observe carefully all that is written in it; then you will successfully attain your goal (or: have good success) (Joshua 1:8)”
Good success comes to those who spend much time in the Word of God, who ask God to train them. Jesus promised that the Father would give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him. Jesus called the Holy Spirit the Spirit of truth Who would lead us into all truth. Holy Spirit is the Spirit of wisdom, insight & revelation, our teacher & guide Who reveals Jesus to us.
The Holy Spirit, third person of the Holy Trinity will teach & train us as we devote ourselves to prayer, Scripture & the teaching of the church. We need the fellowship of other believers as well, to worship and pray together & to share our faith with one another,
Allow yourself to be trained by God; give Him permission to do what He wants to do, in the way He wants to do it.
Be trained by God; enjoy good success!

( see also Psalm 1, 62, 63, 91, Joshua 1:1-8)

“Neither should you be called teachers, for you have One Teacher, the Christ. (Matt 23:10)”
“Let Me teach you; let Me train you. I come from the Father; I know His heart & ways. Therefore I AM the One who can train you in His will & ways.
I AM the One who baptizes in the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth. He will guide you to all truth & lead you. He will take what is Mine & reveal it to you & teach you. He will remind you of all that I have told you. He will give you understanding & revelation as you pray & read the Scriptures. He will give you understanding of the signs of the times and even reveal what is to come.
As Isaiah 54:13 reminds you, “All your children will be taught by the Lord. And great will be the peace of your children.”
Come, let yourself be trained by God: Father, Son & Holy Spirit.
Trained by God, you will be strong in the power of Our might. Together we shall do exploits.”
